¡Entrevista a Pat Moulton! Una gran artista y escultora.

1. ¿Dónde vives, cuáles son tus hobbies, dónde trabajas y algo importante de tu vida?

Vivo en Sparls, USA. Mis hobbie es crear todo lo que pueda hacer con mis manos como coser. Yo tengo un taller en mi casa donde esculpo y coso para mis muñecas. Pronto tendré un taller de 20x20. Toda mi familia está muy unida, Tengo tres niños adultos y cuatro nietos.

2. ¿Cuántos años llevas en este arte? ¿Cómo empezaste? 

Llevo esculpiendo desde hace más de 30 años.

3. ¿Qué es lo mejor de este arte?

Lo mejor de este arte es utilizar nuestra propia imaginación para crear y para divertirnos.

4. ¿Vendes tus propios bebés o solo esculpes?

Yo vendo mis propios bebés tanto a coleccionistas como a empresas.

5. ¿Cómo puede tener la gente uno  de tus maravillosos bebés o kits?

6. Da algunos consejos a la gente que quiera empezar en este arte.

Si eres principiante y este es tu sueño, no te rindas, sigue tus sueños. Yo tengo un DVD (esculpe bebés con Pat Moulton) para compartir con otros como esculpir, asi que eso podría ayudarles a seguir sus sueños.

7. ¿Qué piensas de este arte en España?

Pienso que este arte es fantástico en cualquier país.

8. ¿Cuál es el mejor pedido que has tenido?

El mejor pedido fue cuando me preguntaron si quería esculpir un bebé para la portada del del dico de NIRVANA NEVER MIND donde el bebé está nadando en el agua...

Pero si tu estás preguntando el número de un pedido, fue cuando yo esculpí mi primer kit reborn (500) el nombre de los bebés es Pork Chop. Yo fui la primera en esculpir un bebé para la comunidad reborn, cuando ninguna otra artista estaba haciendo esto, y estoy muy orgullosa de decir que fui la primera artista en hacer esto.

9. ¿Has estado en España con tus bebés? 

No he ido nunca a España pero sería maravilloso para mí ir algún día. 

10. ¿Cuál es tu kit favorito?

Mi kit favorito sería Pork Chop porque fue el primero.
Yo he esculpido muchos kits así que es difícil elegir uno después de Pork Chop. 

11. Realmente me encanta tu kit Anna, ¿cuál es el kit que más has vendido? 

Estoy muy agradecida de que te guste Anna, fue un kit muy dulce para esculpir. La cantidad máxima sería unos 500, pero en algunos casos como con Bountiful babies, no tengo idea de cuantos kits míos han vendido.

12. ¿Qué piensas sobre una nueva revista de bebés reborn en español? 

Creo que sería una gran idea de una revista sobre Reborns en español, siento que es una necesidad.

1. Where do you live, which are your hobbies, where do you work and something important about your life?

I live in sparks, Nevada USA. My hobbies are creating like sewing and anything I get to make by hand. I have a work room in my home where I sculpt and sew for my dolls  ..the space is  13'X13' soon I will have  new work room about 20'X20' it takes a lot of room to store all that is needed to sculpt and make the clothing . What is important about my life is my family we are very close knit family  I have 3 adult children and 4 grandchildren ..

2. How many years have you been in this art? How did you begin in this art?

I have been sculpting for over 30 years,  I started when my children were young when I wanted to sculpt a face  being I had children that I could drawn  upon for inspiration .

3. What is the best of this art?

The best part of this art is using one's own imagination  to create  and for others to enjoy  what I do is wonderful

4. Do you sell your owns babies or only sculpt?

I do sell my own babies to collectors as well as to companies for them to reproduce them

6. Say some advice for the people who are begin in this art.

If you are a beginner and this is your dream do not give up  follow your dream  .I made a DVD  ( Sculpting Babies with Pat  Moulton )  for others to find sculpting and to share with others how to sculpt  so that they could  follow their dream

7. What do you think about this art in Spain?

I am not sure what you mean by this question …I feel this art is  great in any country

8. What is the best order that have you had?

The best order was when I was asked to sculpt the a baby for  a new take on the Cover of NERVINA NEVER MIND  where the baby is swimming in the water..

But if you are asking the number of an order it was when  I sculpted  the first baby in kit ( 500 )  babies name is Pork Chop. I was the very first artist to sculpt a baby for the reborn community. When no other artist was doing this and I am proud to say I was the first artist to do this  

9. Have you been in Spain with your babies?

I have never been to Spain but it would be wonderful for me to go there someday.

10. What is your favourite kit have you ever seen?

My Favorite kit would have to be Pork Chop because that kit was the one that started others to follow in my path in my footsteps. I have sculpted so many kits it is hard to chose one after Pork chop

11. I really love your kit Anna! It´s fantastic! What is the kit that you have sold more?

I am so pleased that you liked Anna she was a very sweet baby to sculpt .For me selling it would be 500 but like you know Anna and other sculpts of mine are being made by Bountiful babies and I have no idea of how many they have sold of my kits

12. What do you think about a new magazine about reborns in spanish? 

I think that would be a great idea about a magazine  about Reborns in Spanish I feel there is a need to for one
